It was obvious from the get go that it wouldn't have as many sales.
The only reason BDSP sold more than PLA is because they're advertised as a pair.
Moreso, normies get confused because they're not paying close attention to Pokémon releases. So chances are if they heard someone talk about PLA, they probably bought BDSP.
Anyone from the outside looks at PLA and doesn't understand that's a mainline Pokémon game.

Swsh is both single player and multiplayer. Meanwhile PLA is only singerplayer because gamefreak was too lazy to put a multiplayer and people like you would defend them anyways.
