>>50274747 and also the heavy focus on story while gameplay takes a backseat, over-casualisation reached its peak with Gen 5 (started with Platinum), removal of loads of features from HGSS (Pokéathlon, BF, following Pokémon), theme park region just felt very soulless and lacking in identity, very little postgame especially compared to HGSS, the shitty ugly dex you are forced to use.
