>>50283667It did, but it was the ONLY one that really turned out true out of all the leaks that gen.
We didn't get any other leaks until November 1st when some people got early copies of the games (they came out November 15th).
As far as I recall, there was no visual leaks prior to November for Sword and Shield.
Going back a gen to Sun and Moon, the earliest accurate leak we got was on June 4th, the starter final evolution leaks. They were clearly pictures of confidential concept pages made for the anime given how they depicted Ash, Mallow and Lana in the sketches.
After that, we got a Chinese leak on July 8th with a lot of accurate info for that gen.
October 17th there was a demo for Sun and Moon that got datamined and they found all the "box sprites" for the Pokemon which revealed a ton of stuff.
Games leaked early and were datamined November 8th ahead of their November 18th release.
I don't know my history on the Gen 6 leaks too well. Only ones I know about there are from the game leaking early on September 29th with the Greninja and Hawlucha pics, with more leaks coming over the following days and X/Y releasing October 12th.
And, of course, we have the infamous Gen 5 starter evo leaks that came out around the start of September, with Black/White coming out on the 18th of that month
Despite all the hype and attempts, Pokemon actually leaks surprisingly little. Gen 7 was the only one to have early image leaks and that was in June of that cycle.
