It also didn't even get Dive until gen 8.

I was rallying for it once I saw they added a new physical water move in gen 7 and didn't give it to my guy.
Now I really for pincers to count as horns so pinsir can learn megahorn and Durant can learn smart strike

It has liquidation but I don't think toad strictly needed it. Hydro has high enough BP so that hydro/ep isn't really worse than liq/quake.

Correct. 0 Investment Hydro Pump does more damage than 0 investment Liquidation 90% of the time. They're both inferior to Scald at the end of the day though.

It's not worth it because you'll probably be running a -SpA nature, so the difference between phys and SpA will be very substantial.

Reasons to run Adamant = Power Whip, Stomping Tantrum.

Tantrum gives a reason to go for double protect fails on purpose. When the double DOES work you will always get a free hit off because nobody ever would double protect for no good reason. Then you reveal tantrum and it's now x2 damage.

Someone a bit smarter might know what's going on though.
