Catch all the Pokemon in your current region. (Can turn this off in the menu, under Challenge Modes, but can't turn it back on)

By catching new Pokemon, shinies increase it an extra 50%

>How do I find the special Togepi?
Current easter event, one dungeon will have a locked boss until you clear that region's E4, at which point you can go fight it. Spoiler: it'll take a while to actually get
