For the harder Legends like Zygarde it's fucking impossible to guarantee you won't wipe, and every wipe is a potential shiny down the drain along with ~20 minutes of your time. Even for the ones that're pretty easy to beat it's still a ridiculously long endeavor and you can run shit out of luck with retarded teammates/even more retarded NPCs than usual and end up wiping once or twice anyways. The only reason you'd be doing this is for time-limited event shinies like box legends, otherwise don't fucking bother.
I say all of this having already successfully hunted Rayquaza, Tapu Fini and Koko, Lunala, and Cresselia. Believe me, you're better off doing any other method
