I honestly liked the SM release period the most because news was so consistent. We got something every 2 weeks and discussion was always booming

Here's the early reveals for the last few gens (I actually made a list of all the video releases with their dates). Video releases specifically so not counting corocoro stuff or anything like that:
>January 8, 2013 - Pokemon X & Y Announced, Gameplay Shown, Chespin, Fennekin, Froakie, Xerneas & Yveltal (shown but not named)
>February 14 - Sylveon (didn't say the type)
>April 6 - Mega Mewtwo Y (didn't explain anything about it)
>May 14 - Riding on Gogoat, Lumiose City, Fletchling, Pancham, Helioptile, Gogoat
After that point we got like 2 videos a month with new stuff.

>Feb 26, 2016 - Sun & Moon Announced
>May 10- Starters Revealed
>June 2 - Legendary Info & Explore the Alola Region
June 4 - The Incineroar, Decidueye & Primarina pages get posted on /vp/
>June 14 - Pikipek, Yungoos, Grubbin, Battle Royal
We got like 3 reveals per month after that point. Lots of stuff.

>Feb 27, 2019 - Sword & Shield Announced, Starters Revealed
May 24 - Ben Affleck 4chan leak with info on characters, mechanics and pokemon up to the 4th gym
>June 5 - Wooloo, Dreadnaw, Corviknight, Gossifleur, Eldegoss, Wild Area, Dynamax, Max Raid Battles, Leon, Hop, Magnolia, Sonia, Milo
>June 11 (no official trailer but demo and direct footage) - Nessa, Yamper, Impidimp, PSS, No National Dex announced in an interview
Then we only got one video for July and August, then multiple videos each month after till release

Pretty much. Late May to Early June is the best bet on when we'll get official new stuff.
At least we should get some good shit usually. They drop multiple early pokemon in the first big reveal usually.

All I'm hoping is that they don't pull the same shit they did with Sword and Shield where they didn't actually "reveal" the starter evolutions till two weeks AFTER the games came out for some retarded reason.

yeah first big reveal will probably show us the rival/professor/some gym leaders(or the equivalent) and 4-5 pokemon usually. Maybe the gimmick but that is 50/50. I just want some more info so bad, we don't even have the starters in game yet

eh I think that they will probably reveal more than that.

My guess is cover legends, some actual gameplay, 3-5 early game mons and maybe the gimmick, but its up in the air on that(Z moves were revealed a bit later)

I could see them holding out on box legends until July/August, the teaser was more cinematic live-action build up than game info so clearly they don't want to show us much right out of the gate. Normally starter reveals show them doing stuff and formally introduces them, but all the info was just slapped on the website where only the dedicated fans would care enough to go check vs just including it where they already had the audience's eyeballs.

Many of these are either tied to Golden Week or to LA. Why would you assume we would get SV news now when we usually wait until May or June? You will get your news in less than 2 months, We had SV announced 2 months ago already. We are more than halfway to the news drop so please be patient.
