In general, no. But I do enjoy the dex entries, some one liners from the NPCs, and aspects of the stories from Unova and Alola

Writing is good (not great) on BW and SM. The others are between meh (first 4 gens and PLA) and totally ass (XY and SwSh).

The main plot is shit in every game. Ironically the game with the best plot is gen 1, solely because it's the most barebones.

In terms of NPC dialogue, most of it is just filler, although there are a handful of memorable ones throughout the series.

i like gen 5's storytelling and the npcs do have good one liners as another anon said
apparently pmd 2 is really well written, but i've never played it so i can't say for sure
besides that, it wouldn't hurt gamefreak to hire some more competent scenario writers and storytellers.

I think the writing in PLA is incredibly boring compared to contemporary JRPGs, but I can’t put my finger on why.
