I oppose getting the dex cut on ideological reasons. However I have to ask for people who transfer their old mons....
How the fuck do you actually play the game ?
Are your old mons not all L100 ?
I understand that if pokemon did have some rebirth mechanic where you can get your old mons at L05 when most trainers have L10 or L20 pokemon. Or maybe you can get only 1 or max 6 mons transferred until you beat the game.
I'm sorry, I can not see how all of you are not running around with L100 transferred mons at this point. And pokemon has no real game+ once you finish it. In like you can play the original game however not trainers start with L 80 pokemon at start and the level simply increases until mid game everyone has L100 mons.
Personally I'm a gigantic fan of the reincarnation idea.
Reincarnation digimon style.
So for example you have a option to start your jurney not with any starter of thet generation however a L5 mon that was reincarnated from a previous version.
Here are the ideas rate them
1) L5 mon; all moves and evolution stays in tact for example a L5 blastoise. (a little strange and can feel op)
2) L5 mon however it returns to its base evolution and loses all of its moves. (most natural option) So your blastoise turns into a L5 squirtle and forgets all its moves.
3) your blastoise returns to a L5 squirtle however remembers all its moves (The last possible iteration).
What do you think? Also tell me how playing with L100 mons is after you transfer them. Do you enjoy that ?
