>>50326016It'd depend honestly, Hatterene can form genuine connections with other living things (such as their trainers) but it'll always be fairly independent and unafraid to make it's thoughts known by smacking you upside if you annoyed it. Think of it like a cat; a cat can and will deeply love it's owners even if they're nature's little scamps, but if you annoy one or they just feel like being alone at the moment the cat isn't afraid to gently bite or swat at people to give a 'warning'. And if that gets ignored or you seriously piss them off they'll either leave (this is normally what they do if they actually like you and/or don't feel threatened, you're just annoying them) or progress to seriously maiming your closest body part.
Hatterene's like that; except when they get pissed off, unlike the cat biting and scratching your arm/leg their 'claw' will fucking maul you to the degree that your corpse will probably be identified by DNA tests.
Honestly part of why I love Hatterene so much is that I realized she's very similar in behavior to my pet cat: very full of personality, kinda grumpy, likes to spend some time alone, but she's still a very sweet and loving cat, comes to me when she wants to play or spend time together, enjoys relaxing next to me (and gets annoyed if I have to do something else, she'll sit on whatever I'm doing or bite my hand to get my attention again) and she'll jump onto my bed at night to curl up purring by my side.
She gives one hell of a death glare when she's mad though; thankfully it's usually directed at the rest of my family.
