They've INTENTIONALLY been increasing their attention towards the fairer sex over the gens, after it became clear little boys would Buy Thing REGARDLESS. Sorry it took you so long to see, but part of that attention includes creating a starter with female players in mind. And given the other two options look as they do, it's clear they weren't designed to be the feminine choice.
