I don't think I'd hate the aesthetic for this game anywhere near as much as I would if it wasn't for the human characters looking so ridiculously generic.

I dunno, it would make it stronger, that's for sure, since depending on the speed difference the faster pokemon would be able to get 2 attacks every couple of turns.

I don't think it'd work for a PvP setting, the PLA combat only works in the context of pure PvE.

The artstyle looks literally one of those mock ups where Nintendo hire this man drops a bunch of 3D model into Unreal Engine or whatever and calls it a day
I don't understand why Gamefreak is trying to go for a more "realistic" approach when they still are on the shitty ass Switch

No matter what they are on, Pokemon should stay anime-styled. I'd love a high res 2D game with animated characters.
Drawing frames requires effort, so we'll never get it.

ATB is shit for a game that’s primarily 1v1 battles. They should keep the turn order system from PLA, but improve and balance it for multiplayer
