will game freak ever admit Steels resistances were a mistake? Offensive it's fine, it's good against precisely those types which cover a ton of the spectrum (Ice, Rock) which is better covered by Fighting anyways on the physical side.
And now we're here with Ground type being way too strong of an attacking type as well as fire which in turn further buffs the bulky waters which always win anyways.
