My play through of the game is inspired by best friend. I wanted to make a team based on her, and she loves tricksters and jokesters, so I've ended up mostly with dark types.
>Serperior w/ ContraryGreen snake, contrary ability, and also her favorite starter in the region.
>Honchkrow w/ Super LuckLuck necessary in being a trickster, and she likes the design.
>Gothitelle w/ Magic BounceBecause friend loves emo aesthetic/black-white/noir. Magic bounce to spit in the face of NPC's who try to use status effects. Also, Gothitelle is Psychic/Dark in this version.
>Umbreon w/ Poison TouchA dark type with Poison Touch was just such an interesting thing to me. No idea why Umbreon got it, but I love how it's uniquely bulky, and generally is based on her loving Umbreon.
>Liepard w/ PranksterShe loves cats, prankster ability seems obvious. Been surprised by how useful she's been in this early game.
Still playing around for the sixth member. She doesn't like any of the water types of the region! She is receptive to using Lanturn, though.
Trying my best to figure out a competitive strategy with them because this game is superbly hard. Not every Pokemon has been caught yet, I'm currently at Burgh. I may end up tossing Liepard and just using Umbreon fully, but Liepard has been surprisingly strong and good for me.
