Hey guys i got a question that needs awnsering, what pokemon would be good for a farming setting? avoiding starters if possible.
i have Wooloo, Miltank, Mudbray, Tauros/boufalant and lilpup so far.

Pokemon farming would be somewhat different than in our world.
I can imagine Applin family (for delicious shells) , Petlill (for ivigorating leaves), Paras(For mushrooms), Swinubs(for their thick fur and ability to dig up food), Snover( For special berries), Tangela family (for Vines) on farm! Let's not forget combee!
Some Poison Pokemon as well! As some toxins seems to be very usefull.

O course you would need water pokemon and ground pokemon as well.
Diglett or Sandshrew families are great for helping around gardens!

I forgot to mension we have few cottton- based pokemon as well so I imagine they are also great to have

A chicken would hardly be a crucial farm animal when literally all your animals lay eggs. If you really wanted a bird though there's Unfezant or Pidove.

I used to farm pigeons and rabbits for meat. I even tried hard boiled pigeon eggs. So any pokemon based on those animals.

The main reason we raise chickens is because they are easy to care for and they produce more eggs than any other kind of fowl. To really get the proper chicken comparison going you need only look at an egg cycle chart to see which pokemon has the quickest hatching eggs, which happens to be Magikarp at 5 cycles.

A scarecrow is designed and intended to scare off birds. Sudowoodos gimmick is that it acts like a tree. A bird could land right on top of it and it wouldn't move. Unless you're training this sudowoodo to specifically lie in wait to ambush birds, in which case you're retarded.
