Agreed. I was incredibly worried about this franchise's future when SwSh dropped, but PLA not only assuaged some of those concerns, its mechanics also made me feel like a kid again. It felt like the Pokémon game I always wanted to play as a child.
Gotta wait and see how SV follows it up, but I'm genuinely excited!

Nope. I hate SWSH as well, but PLA barely did anything to make me want to come back. I find it too grindy and just don't like the setting of Hisui and this is coming form someone who likes Sinnoh.

Nope. I hate SWSH as well, but PLA barely did anything to make me want to come back. I find the grind too annoying and just don't like the setting of Hisui (bad graphical style, mostly empty, everyone being an ancestor killing immersion) and this is coming from someone who likes Sinnoh.

yeah, even though i myself like PLA, i didn't quite like the art direction, everything kind of blends together with darker colors in the same few hues
some more landmarks in the areas would also be nice. basic design 101 to reward the player for exploring

Kind of, except it was XY that killed my interest in the franchise.
PLA made me have fun for the first time in years and actually made me go back and try to replay Gens 5-8.

yes except the love was killed by diamond and pearl, revived by black and white, and killed by x&y again only to be revived by PLA

I fell for the hype like a retard, finally finished Pearl and then played through B/W/2 to catch up.
Although Y wasn't so bad, I had fun with it. That is, until I finished the story, caught all the pokemon and found out there's nothing left to do. Tried breeding for IVs for the first time as well. At least it wasn't as bad as Sun. Wish I never bought that shit.
