Wrong, only Iris is.
But my qquestion is, why Iris?
She is BY FAR, the most hated pokegirl ever in the world and story, and because she was basically a copycat of Misty, which a lot of people were angry about this and because Ash was a complete idiot.

Now she is suddenly a champion and a part of the MASTERS 8? And about to reach her dream as a Master Dragon trainer?

She's a champion in the games, so it makes sense. Plus, she spent years training the same group of Pokémon over and over again, while Ash keeps dropping his team every 3 years or so.

Unova is a joke of a region and Ash deliberately threw all of his battles there because he didn't want Trip and Cameron to feel bad about all the hard work they put in. Brock and May are canonically the strongest.
