I used it in Red, Silver, Fire Red, SoulSilver and Ultra-Moon. It is especially weak in the earlier gens, learning no good moves at all until gen 4, Ekans is horrible to train especially in gen 1 when everything is poison type. One of my favorite Pokemon but it needs an evolution/form that is actually good, Arbok sucks even against the IA and it is sad. Please save him, he is an OG, his counterpart got something for some reason (Arbok was always more popular than Sandshrew because of the anime and the fact that everyone had Red and not Blue).
