Pick ONE (1) to train and protect you. They will become your loyal companion and be willing to do absolutely everything for you, including dying.

The rest will hunt you down to KILL you. However:

1. They won't start working together until you permanently kill or cripple one of them, or if you hide from all of them for more than 3 months.
2. They're neutral towards each to begin with. It's possible to set them against each other.
3. They have access to any Gym Leaders under their authority (Ash calls on past Rivals and travelling companions. Iris, Cilan and the Alola Trial Captains don't count). 5. They will deploy them according to how threatened they are by you. You can kill or cripple these underlings without enraging the other Masters.
4. Your companion has them too, and they obey the both of you unflinchingly. Should your companion die, you will retain their loyalty.

6. The last Master left alive will WITHOUT FAIL call on the aid of their region's most powerful Legendary to kill you. For the rest, acquiring legendaries is as difficult and resource exhaustive as is normal. They may attempt this anyway if pushed to desperation.

Start in your companion's home turf (Ash gets Kanto, Lance gets Johto and Alain gets Alola). You have ONE week to prepare, and then a random Master (roll a die, 1-7) will know your location.
