All champions are unbeatable until the mc beats them that’s why they’re champions. You can’t just introduce some guy and claim he’s the strongest. Not only does that invite unneeded power level fagggotry, it ultimately fucks over future generations because either they are not as great as Leon or they’re even better. This forever ruins any sort of discussion involving champions because everything will revolve around their power level and not their character.

Steven and Cynthia are a out the same, I like cynthia's team more because it demonstrates that she has a very high understanding of the sinnoh reigon (spiritomb requires visiting lots of friends in the underground, milotic requires knowledge of berries and poffins cooking) Steven's team is pretty badass but the only real interesting members are Metagross and the fossils which demonstrates Steven's expertise with geology
