>>50380263Months of bait OC from that place and I still considered Platinum my favorite game. 2 weeks with BDSP playing very casually doing tons of tedious shit during the playthrough (see: honey and berries) and thinking of playing it without mods makes it my most hated playthrough to think of. Not due to roadblocks or being ill-equipped but from what Diamond and Pearl offer as video games even when matching levels. I swapped out members plenty of times (ended with over 15 usable members for the final gym not including the legendary), disabled exp share, disabled affection boosts, and it was still piss easy. I still love the region and have a nostalgia boner for the lead up to the release for the originals, but now that I'm not as blinded by those things Diamond and Pearl are awful video games mechanically.
>but the elite 4 teams! don't you know cynthia's garchomp has swords dance and a yache berry?!Whoever approved such a drastic change in difficulty should never be allowed to approve things again. Yes I'm using the word difficulty. People doing a blind playthrough for the first time, possibly even as their first game, are mashing A through the Wurmple line the entire game with their starter and then have to deal with smogon singles sets. People playing the games for 25 years already have exact turns planned.
Now that I think about it, are there any Gen 4 cave pokemon besides Bronzor/Bronzong and Snover/Abomasnow? (outside but requires going through a cave.) Just remembered Gible in that one spot. Aside from that anything else? New Underground doesn't count. Don't care if I made a blog post. Diamond and Pearl were a novelty in 2006 but are included in the lowest tier of mainline games.
