this was basically just me taking several shots in the dark here, since the chateau battles only use two pokemon and they only use like two or three pokemon in any of their manga or anime adaptations, which i admittedly prefer to pull from if there aren't any rematches or PWT shit or whatever
maybe it's a bit excessive but seeing as the gym leaders straight up use shittier pokemon than the fucking gym trainers and only THREE at that, it left a bad taste in my mouth
also yes olympia and wulfric use megas; they're so fucking forgettable i wanted to at LEAST do that so they could IN THEORY be memorable
i'm not calling this a revamp, more a "what my dumb ass would do" kind of thing
