The anime didn't 'invent' AG either by the way, it was designed specifically by GameFreak for use in the anime AND the games. You're delusional if you think anyone is allowed to create an original form or powerup for any Pokémon without express permission from the head honchos who have a chokehold on the franchise's IP, and carefully control every single monster design that's allowed to exist.
When you put it all together (the special Z-move only Ash is allowed to have, the special Lycanroc only Ash is allowed to have, the special Mythical only Ash is allowed to have, the special UB only Ash is allowed to have, and even the special Championship title ONLY ASH IS ALLOWED TO HAVE)...honestly, it reads far more like a fanfic than literally every season of Pokémon that has come before or since.
