Too many pokemon muddy the design, effects transfer only. There are so many pokemon, any selection of ~400 will have plenty that anyone can like.

Funny how this only started popping up after Dexit happened. Not when XY filled every route with 10 new encounters. Not when SM had all 721 Pokémon in existence and the previous generational gimmick. Shills only started using it retroactively because they needed something to defend Dexit with.
