Seems like to me that the average pokemon fan is in his twenties, I don't see a lot of kids buying pokemon cards anymore, I see adults instead

Not sure about Pokemon cards, card games as a whole have been on the decline, but kids do still play Pokemon games a lot. Youre only seeing adults because youre no longer a kid and your circle consists of mainly adults(hopefully). Kids really enjoy watching Poketubers. Also where do you think the sales are coming from?

I stopped after Gen 6. Saw the overall decline of the games and started playing Mass Effect and Fallout instead. I discovered the pokemon manga and became a fan again. Then Mass Effect and Fallout both went to shit. So I stopped games altogether. Realized how much of a waste of time videogames are. So I learned various skills and hobbies. Like cutting hair, fishing and trapping animals. I still read the manga but avoid any videogames.

Have you thought about the fact that there are more entertaining alternatives than card games. As well as the fact that youd need to physically buy cards and hope you get what you need to make a good deck. Both my brothers were very into pokemon. I have no idea where they got it, but they were begging for the games for a while. Got them BDSP because used copies are piss cheap and it made me appreciate the handholding in new titles. Not really. Most vegetables just have low calories and take time to grow. My garden is mostly leeks, mint, carrots and jalapenos. Which make for decent ingredients for soups when combined with rabbit, fish or duck.

My sis started with oras which she loved and played all ds and 3ds games. She disliked swsh when it came out and rather played dq11. She doesn't even wanna touch Legends or bdsp because it looks bad and has no voice acting so she rather plays Genshin and Honkai.
