I would hope not. The people of the Pokemon universe are shown to treat their Pokemon with kindness and are generally shown as being good owners but sometimes you do see people abuse these poor, innocent creatures and that's sad.

However even in the Pokedex, and I don't know if this is intentional or not but cool nevertheless, we see some anthropocentrism thrown back at the Pokemon regarding femininity and perception. Take for example Primarina which the pokedex tells us is know as a "songstress" which is a female title or professor laventon in Arceus refering to Kirlia as a maiden or how Gardevoir "dress" appears like that worn of women of nobility. We know these are species that have both male and female members but here you have human anthropocentrism rearing it's head and assigning gendered titles to these creatures. I think it's a nice touch of realism even if it's not intended.
