Why do we not have this anymore?
Would you want there to be a slight hue shift or color change for all pokemon, what about for shinies too?

this is what regional forms should be

Instead of irrationally having pokemon switch entire types and body composition based on what region they're in (oh and only some regions because apparently speciation only occurs in some places), they should make it so pokemon have slightly different patterns and body features per region or even inside the same region

So instead of just being shiny vs not shiny, you have tiers of rarity, and it's stuff like what flavor of vanilluxe, or what pattern of stripes on growlithe, etc

They had that with Arbok for a while, not sure if they still do it in the 3d games or if it was ever intentional.

They deliberately changed Arbok's pattern based on the game and region up until FRLG, where every appearance thereafter used the KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOO pattern.
They haven't yet given enough fucks to bring back Arbok's pattern variation despite how easy it'd be.
