I caught a shiny shinx almost immediately when I first left the village. I haven't seen any more shinnies since, but I've only spent like 10 hours playing.

as far as more traditional shinnies, I've never really tried hunting for shinnies. I do have a shiny Milotic that I must have gotten from wonder trading.

I'm breeding contrary Snivy in AS right now to hopefully incentivize someone to give me to version exclusive normal mons from OR/Y if a trade thread ever goes up. After I fill a box I wondertrade them all away and I just got a shiny Aggron. It has the wrong nature and like 1 decent IV so it seems like someone just actually dumped their buddy into the world.

The real kicker was I found a shiny Yamper on the first day, even though I've only battled 4 of them. And shiny Yamper looks like shit, it's barely distinguishable from the regular.

It was a random shiny Noctowl in Motostoke Outskirts (Pokemon Sword), doesn't care about it and would have wanted to catch it in an older game. I have luck with shinies, i got a random one in each gen but it is always common mons like geodude or pidgey.

Was during a randomizer Nuzlocke playthrough. I forgot to set it to randomize the stationary Pokémon like starters and so, so all the fake items were still Fungoos and Amoonguss. Obviously I broke the Nuzlocke rule to catch it.

No, my brother and my friend have the carts so if it gets too bad I'll ask if they'll let me borrow them so I can reset fossils as well. Kinda just seeing what pops up on wonder trade while I breed. Getting HA and females on a starter is cancer if since their gender stats are so skewed.
