I'll give you the short version: you are basically a trainee for Professor Mary Burkea. Her investigations took her to the Safar Region, so your mission is investigate 4 Monoliths, strange ruins, and whatever the region throws at you. The gym leaders will allow you deeper access to the region.
So far, the dex is a mix of fakemon, "regional" mons, plus original pokemons; 8 gyms with a League; side quests; "original" tilesets; classic overworld; and mugshots for main characters in the story.
So far, they only have 4 gyms in. It's still on Beta.

No, he kept working on them and released a sequel.
The day of release he got raided again by troons reminding everyone of how "insulting" his games are. What are you talking about? Hispanics are not white, we're Iberian/Spanish mixed with Native. I'm half native but I'm still pale skinned with brown hair and green eyes. Lots of my cousins are far skinned, blonde, red haired, etc.
There's no such thing as a generic Mexican and they'll vary widely.
Generally though, yes, Spanish traits are seen as more attractive than native traits, my family is considered very attractive.
