That game's storytelling is complete ass outside of like two or three sidequests. In fact, the entire presentation is fucky. If you're talking more Lude elements, even the combat is just 1 with more or less waiting depending on how well you master the system, which can be alright but isn't amazing. At least the map design is fantastic, I can't take that away from it. It's not like 1 where it's mostly average and therefore the kind of thing even brainlets can like while mildly satisfying people with taste, or 2 where the actual combat is interesting (if you can grasp it when the tutorials either don't explain anything or explain it in a really bad way). They're no Xenosaga (I think, Xenosaga intimidates me), but 2 is at least Xenogears Episode 5 (and 4 if you count Torna). Xenoblade 3, story wise, seems to be taking some inspiration from Xenogears Episode 3 with some Xenosaga elements. Shame half the playable characters play like 1 though, but hopefully some of the other mechanics make up for that like Overdrive in X.
Also, Snap 2's character models weren't even that bad and only show up in cutscenes, what a fucking stupid complaint.
