Classic pokemon games might have gone stale after 6 gens, but this piece of shit got stale after just 2 hours. The game is literally just a shitty tech showcase

I was enjoying it for a good while and then I just hit a brick wall of apathy. The second I stopped caring about the catching mechanics it was over. Nothing else in the game is worth a shit.

I can appreciate them messing with the battle system is a safe environment (side game) and I don't mean the strong/agile turn order, I mean fixing sleep, realizing that EQ is busted etc.
On the other hand there are barely any trainer battles to play with and I don't think catching 50 Roselias to fill out the pokedex entry is a good gameplay loop.

PLA is pretty fucking good and I hope many of the things from PLA come over to Sc/Vi.
>everything is on the overworld, even the shinies.

Because it's built on extremely shallow gameplay. Gen 8's approach of building games around catching Pokemon only for the sake of catching Pokemon falls apart when you don't really want to catch any Pokemon
