All of the wasted potential and corner-cutting. Every franchise has cut content, some of it better than what we got, but Pokemon feels like it has some genuinely good ideas that can't be implemented because TPCi insists on yearly releases and won't give Game Freak the time they need to refine some of these ideas. It's honestly pathetic.

Imagine what a full 5 years of development with all of their man power focused on just one game would be like.

the route design in sun and moon made me quit the franchise until arceus happened
hints of decay were definitely there for x and y but theres a couple of routes in kalos that are at least a little memorable

It will never be like gen 1 to 4 again
We will never get a traditional Pokemon game again, everything will be empty open world
The designs are getting uglier with each new installment since gen 4/5
Main story is too easy most of the time, just a mindless button mashing until the end
Pokemon is probably the most wasted potential franchise ever, it will never be enjoyable again, i have given up

Linoone was way more popular than Raticate and Furret during gen 3 days. Raticate is ugly and too common, Furret is forgettable, Linoone is fast and fierce + a real bro with the pickup ability. Gen 3 gives you two regional "shitmon mammals" that you actually want to have in your team.

The DP remakes were the only remakes I wanted growing up as a kid and now they're out and are the worst remakes in the series.
At least PLA being somewhat good (despite looking like shit) was a modest closure to Gen 4.

As a R/S/E fan i find OR/AS worst than BD/SP, at least BD/SP has some Platinum content and gym leaders rematchs with decent movesets. R/S/E should have been remaked during gen 5 and D/P/Pt during gen 7.

I disagree. Sure, playing Emerald is better than ORAS.
But compared to BDSP, at least ORAS tried adding new things such as character redesigns, Delta Episode, the May/Brendan shipping, Wally changes, plus some things I don't remember now. Whereas BDSP is a 1:1 copy that somehow manages to be worse. I love Gen 4 but it is arguably the most intrinsically flawed region, it could've used some updating.

Being a huge Hoenn fan who's favourite game is Emerald, I cannot describe how much ORAS disappointed me.

I often see people complaining about BDSP being an underwhelming Sinnoh remake, but honestly it is way better than ORAS. I wish Hoenn got a BDSP instead of an ORAS. Tho, ideally, every remake should be HGSS level of quality.
