Never forget Dynamax is such a bad mechanic that it made Blast Burn Charizard's most common Fire move. I will be amazed if GF somehow manages to make SV's gimmick worse than this

Dynamax is a shit mechanic for plenty of reasons, but the fact that people are using moves with downsides in order to get different upsides is good balance.

Fixed. Imagine thinking giving low-usage moves and mons a new lease on life is "bad" design. DSzoomers are so mindbroken and Smogonbrained.

Yeah, and the point is that dynamax snowballing is so strong that even that small power boost is worth trading for all flexibility. Dynamax was supposed to be the flexible mechanic that lets you adapt as the match goes on, not maxing a Pokemon that's so broken that it doesn't matter how useless it is normally. Choice items aren't the same thing at all as the 1.5x power boost is perfectly balanced for the tradeoff.
