Gen 8 wasn't too bad. Problem with me is that even though I hate spoilers, I obsessive-compulsively plan all my teams prior.
PL:A actually got me to just say YOLO, raise as many 'Mons as I want, and keep the ones I like the most.
In the end with PL:A, I had
>Decidueye>Luxray>Kleavor a>Basculegion a>Arcanine>Garchamp a (Shiny)Tried using Emploeon and Zoroark late in the game, but in the end I bonded more to Basculegion and Kleavor, so I just ran with them.
Then in the post-game I used a variety. Mainly Electric types like Electivire a and Magnezone to help complete the Pokedex.
Like for once I actually played Pokemon the way its meant to, and that has me pretty excited for Gen 9.
