They just stitched the top half of Palkia to a horse body. Why? It ruins the trio's origin forms. Giratina is a serpent, Dialga is a quadraped, and Palkia is too? He should have stayed bipedal!

Yes, they are meant to evoke a feeling of being unsettled. Imagine you saw a biblically accurate angel floating around. These are good designs.
