Literally the only thing BDSP has over Platinum is some QoL (which is cool, admittedly) the ability to get Jirachi, Mew and Arceus, and you need to have save files for 3 different games (one of them fully completed) to get them.

Anyone who prefers LGPE over FRLG are either babies who can't handle pre-split moves, or like gimmicks more than actual content. And even then it's insanely easy to just play a romhack that adds the split and Megas.

As such the correct order is HGSS > FRLG > ORAS > LGPE > BDSP

What is even the reason for continued remakes? Gen 1 is the only one that really needed it because of the primitive graphics and sounds on the Gameboy. Gen 2 arguably got a similar benefit. By the time we got the Gameboy Advance, nothing needs updating.

HGSS is just such a fun experience, same with ORAS (albeit I enjoyed it most with exp share off)
People shit on frlg a lot but forget it had a lot of cool features like fame checker and sevii islands, as well as making r/g/y’a gameplay more fun but not super stupid easy. BDSP was trash

Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh are good. The first two are the ones with the good remakes though while the last two had good third versions that were ignored by the remakes for some bs reason.

Schizo. Gen 4 is a very close second since Platinum and HGSS are very good games, and Johto has a very special place in my heart since I started with Silver after Stadium, but I have a little more fun in Hoenn, and FRLG's sevii islands are so much fun to explore. ORAS will forever be on my shitlist for taking away the Battle Pike.
