Honestly, I have no idea if it’s even working since mobile HOME just tells you it’s under maintenance. If an anon wants to tell me if it’s worth getting the shiny charm though, that’d be great.

Using apps like bank and home for pokemon transfer was a mistake. I wanted to transfer few mons all the way from gen3 to home and transfer from gens 3-5 only took 1/4th of the time it took to transfer them via the apps

Imagine being able to transfer YOUR Pokemon from one game to another through a local wireless or wired transfer without a middle man whose online service can be shut down at any moment and not having to pay money for something that should have never been made an online service anyway. Would be nice to transfer my shiny Torterra to Sword so I ca... oh wait Game Freak wants me to use Cinderass instead.

That is a lie. Transferring them from Gen 3 to 4 to 5 takes hours because you have to play the mini games.

This is only the case when transferring big amounts of pokemon. When you only transfer few, the minigames are faster than the transfer.
t. Spent over an hour yesterday trying to transfer one pokemon from gen 5 to 8 because of all the updates, account links and purchases i needed to go through. Getting it from gen3 to gen5 took only like 15 mins
