The Bad Egg is locked in the Home server. There is no way to recover it from the server.

With a hacked Switch you don't need Home or Bank at all.
>backup 3DS save file
>backup switch file
>drag and drop pokemon from SM into SWSH file using two PKHeX windows
>bypass bank and home entirely while having free unlimited local backups of your entire save files (not just the pokemon)
If you have backed up a SM save file the Silvally was in you could recover it and fix it so it's legal. The only difference from Home transfers is the lack of a tracking number assigned by Home. SWSH online does not interact with Home to check tracking numbers. You should hack your Switch anyways to backup save files for all your games. This also allows you to do multiple playthroughs by doing a backup, deleting your save, doing another playthrough, backup that save, and reloading your main save (new pokemon from the new save are easily transferable to the main save). Randomizers are also incredibly easy to set up with a hacked Switch. The only thing that bans you from online is installing pirated games. As a precaution don't try to connect online with a randomizer applied either. Mods are also applied by just putting files on the SD card. This was more than just answering your question, but Pokemon games are greatly improved by hacking your Switch. Especially when using sysbot-base + LiveHeX.

However, Bad Eggs count as illegitimate Pokemon, and since Bad Eggs can't be released, you just can't save. I confirmed this by moving the Bad Egg around and I got a different error, error 999. You can't release eggs from Home on the switch, for some reason, and that includes bad Eggs, and you can't even touch a Bad Egg on the app. It's bad programming on ILCA's part and they need to fix it.

It's entirely your fault for throwing random mons into home, if you got a bad egg in a 3DS game just use pkex to remove it.

Exactly. All this does is hurt casuals and people who hack poorly. This in no way stops hacking, and only encourages hacking better, while also punishing users who would have "learned their lesson" and stopped hacking when given the opportunity to release problematic Pokemon to continue using the service. I mean, BDSP sorta does this with cloned Pokemon by locking all Pokemon with the same PID from being traded until only one remains, so where's any of that in Home? It's ridiculous just how little thought seems to go into this kind of thing.

This is a problem because everyone has to start somewhere. Not everyone jumps into the series with flashcarts, RNG timers, and pkhex. This includes single digit year old kids receiving Machampsdotcom from normal gameplay. There's probably a percentage of people who used online functions (both kids and adults) that don't even know about genning.

So much time has been put into contributing the most trivial useless data to the legality checker over the years and it can all be utilized by clicking the caution sign telling you to click a few more menus. People who used services should have hacked their 3DS instead and also obtained an early switch before it was too late. Why are they even using home if they can hack?

Some people hack to get around things outside their control, such as bad RNG before getting the tools to fix it legitimately (I mean, it took this long to get HA Patches, Bottle Caps, Nature Mints), PKHeX also doesn't warn you about is logistics. I.e. how reasonable it is to obtain something, and then there's things like memories etc.
Either way, whether you agree or not, casuals shouldn't suffer as collateral. And again, punishing hackers doesn't do anything aside from making them more thorough, which defeats any detection system and probably contributes more to upgrading the detection, as to pick up on anything that could possibly differentiate a hacked Pokemon from a legitimately obtained one.

GameFrak could just end this problem entirely by getting rid of IV's. When multiplayer literally requires you to use a hacked mon mon to compete it becomes retarded to punish people for daring to want to play the very multiplayer scene you want them to participate in. And IV's go against the ethos of Pokemon anyway. I want to do the Endgame facilities and fight online with my bros I caught and trained over the course of the game, not some soulless homunculi who even if he wasn't literally hacked in, is the product of a eugenics bicycle simulator where I grew 1000 near identical copies.
