What is your very first memory of Pokémon?

I have a vague memory of going tino town with my family and walking past a store. In the window was a cardboard cutout of a weird creature I'd never seen before (presumably a Pikachu but I can't remember) and a sign saying "WE HAVE POKEMON CARDS IN STOCK!"

At the time I din't think much of it and kept walking. It wasn't until weeks/months later that I was in a newsagents and saw pic related on the shelf. I decided to buy it and inside was a massive article explaining everything about Pokemon.

After that i started making a point to watch the anime and then eventually asked for a Gameboy for my birthday so I could play the games.
