I've yet to see a convincing argument as to why megas are bad
>They're uglyEntirely subjective, I personally think most mega designs are passable at worst and some of them even look better than their original forms.
>They're overpoweredSomewhat true, but that only applies to a minority of them. Even for that minority, they're hardly any worse than your average box legendary and there's nothing stopping Gamefreak from just nerfing them (especially if they got rid of the "mega evolution has to boost the BST by exactly 100 points" rule). Besides, powercreep existed before and especially after the introduction of new megas. Gamefreak are going to break their own game regardless of whether megas exist or not, just look at Zacian-C.
>They prevent Pokémon from getting cross-gen evosThe fact Meowth and Pikachu have Gigantamax forms is proof that there's nothing stopping Pokémon from having both a superpowered form and an evolution.
At the end of the day megas are literally just alternate forms except they have a special name and you can only use one of them at a time, I don't get why people get their panties in a twist over them.
Also I find it funny how that image was being posted during the SWSH hype season before anyone had ever actually played a game with Dynamax in it, meaning that it was either bait or that some idiot was making assumptions about a new mechanic that they had never actually used or played against>>50494135>>50494215lol, lmao, rofl
