It's like how the majority of Mega Evolutions before ORAS were for Kanto Pokémon, or all the Alolan forms were for Kanto Pokémon or how Kanto got ANOTHER remake or how the number of Gigantamax forms were equally split between Kanto and Galar with only Garbodor and Melmetal as exceptions or Kanto Pokémon still getting a significant number Galarian forms in comparison to other regions (at least other regions got some this time). And then there are all the hollow references, like Snorlax blocking the way and having to use the Poké Flute to wake it up, or the Silence Bridge reference in Alola, or the Unknown Dungeon with Mewtwo in Kalos, or being given an additional Kanto starter early into XY, or Charizard and Mewtwo getting two Mega Evolutions, or Kukui fellating the Kanto Gym Leaders, or Lillie traveling to Kanto, or Charizard being your method of fast travel despite being utterly absent in Alola, or the three most popular Pokémon in Galar being Kanto Pokémon.
Nobody shit on PLA for Kanto pandering. It has new forms for Growlithe/Arcanine and Voltorb/Electrode and a new evolution for Scyther. But everything is really balanced around the other regions too, it's not as skewed as recent games.
