>>50509419I am glad they're actually doing something new for the first time in forever. I played Arceus and it was a real breathe of fresh air compared to the horrible 3DS and 3DS+ era. I've basically been nothing but let down by this franchise since it left the DS, so actually being impressed and having as much fun as I did with Legends was a big surprise.
I still really hope that going forward they just reuse assets and go back to having the national dex, because the big appeal for me has always been the collecting and having shitloads of little goals to work towards.
Its not that all I care about is the dex, it just sucks when I get a new pokemon game and I have literally nothing left to do but breed and grind IVs for competitive shit after like 3-4 days. My favourite thing about pokemon games is that I can fuck around in them for a long time working on getting a bunch of different little things done, and when there aren't a shitload of little things to do, I'm just left feeling like I wasted my money.
