Here's one for my Crystal hack which aims to keep the main game exactly the same, but just adds a ton more postgame content in the form of rematches with progressive teams. I tried to keep the teams and movesets as close to GF's rules at the time of Gen 2 were, and I think I did a good job. One thing I like about Crystal is that they started getting more confident with giving trainers stronger movesets and even held items. The Ace Trainers in Crystal actually have unique held items in their final rematches, and the updated movesets from GS were fun to look at. For example, Bird Keeper Vance on Route 43 has one Pidgeot with Toxic and another with Steel Wing in his final rematch.
