Garbage. Roxanne, Brawly, Winowna, and Tate & Liza all have fine teams.
Wattson should’ve had a Manectric, but Plusle and Minun only work in doubles battles as a gimmick duo. Flannery should’ve had a Slugma, Numel, and Torkoal. Norman should’ve had a Vigoroth, Loudred, and Slaking. The last guy (name I can’t remember) should’ve had one of the Clamperl evos.

think aron would be a bit challenging considering there's no fighting type obtainable at that point unless you hard grinded torchic to combusken. kinda forces everyone to pick mudkip for optimal results.
brawly seems okay
we need to break this minun obsession, it sucks outside of doubles. Electrike lead, magneton second, manetric third
flannery seems fine
norman seems fine except for swellow. give swellow to winona. delcatty or tauros works better here.
ninjask seems dumb for winona considering its bug typing. use swellow, togetic or crobat.
much better and challenging team for tate & liza, i got no critique here
still think we can swap gyarados for walrein on wallace's team otherwise seems ok. probably worthwhile keeping whiscash too to troll electric sweepers

Kanto: The bare minimum number of 150/151. Practically no post-game outside of the Unknown Dungeon, and much of the game relies on using platitudes of Pokémon you've already seen over new ones.

Johto: New Pokémon appear throughout the game, with many directly tied to new gameplay mechanics. While the main story is comparatively shorter, the inclusion of numerous new mechanics, a Pokédex of 251, and a second region make the game feel so much more robust.

Hoenn: New Pokémon are frontloaded to make a strong early impression and make up 2/3 of the Pokédex. The Pokédex is smaller than the previous game, and post-game Pokémon are particularly lacking due to the lack of a National Pokédex without trading.

Actually withholds a decent chunk of new Pokémon until the post-game and goes all out on the National Pokédex. Unova: Only slightly larger than the Kanto Pokédex, but has the intent of creating a similar fresh experience by limiting the player to only the new Pokémon during the main story. The number of gameplay mechanics tied to encountering Pokémon are limited compared to Johto and Sinnoh.

Kalos: Just absolutely loaded with everything from the start, to the point one might call it bloated. Comparatively small number of new Pokémon, relies on forms like Mega Evolutions to bolster numbers. Gameplay mechanics for encounters are once again low, leading to the bloated feeling.

Giving Roxanne Solrock and Lunatone wouldn't be so stupid if it didn't deprive Tate and Liza of the perfect Pokemon representing the duality of fraternal twins. Even if Gallade existed in Gen 3, it wouldn't have been as perfect as Solrock and Lunatone.

Flannery having Castform ruins the Weather Institute event later in the game. Exploud doesn't fit Norman at all. It's way too loud and uncouth. The strategically NFE Vigoroth is a really good choice. It makes Norman seem clever. I would say species clause has ruined you, but you gave Tate and Liza Gardevoirs for some reason. I guess you decided to ignore Wally. I see you also ignored the fact that Flygon isn't a flying type. I suppose your iteration of Winona is a Dragon-type Gym Leader, thereby making Drake redundant. Good job.

Lance is an Elite Four member/champion, not a Gym Leader. Furthermore, all of his Pokemon are at least draconic in appearance, with the possible exception of Aerodactyl, which casts the same silhouette as Charizard so even then, not really.

I can't, for the life of me, see the relationship between Flygon, the insectoid dragon dwelling in the desert and Winona, who claims to have become one with Bird Pokemon. There's not even a tenuous connection really.

Bugsy absolutely needs to be fixed. Falkner is whatever in comparison. I'll never understand why people say he needs to be fixed when he's the first Gym Leader. Noctowl doesn't fit his personality and Skarmory is way too strong. I guess Noctowl sort of flies under the radar since he's borrowing it from his dad, but on the grounds that they might have wanted the nocturnal bird to be a surprise, it's fine to exclude it. Besides, it's not like Falkner isn't challenging for the unprepared. He's a good first boss. Bugsy is not a good follow up boss. Bugsy should be showing you the true and devastating power of a type otherwise seen as weak, but all he does is validate that weakness by leading with two literal cocoons.
