SwSh is worse than PLA (though not as bad as BDSP or DP), though I agree that it gets monotonous very fast. Platinum is the only semi-decent Sinnoh game IMO.

Kids who were just coming into Pokemon (doesn't matter when, really. GSC, RSE, DPP) liked D/P/P.
