That kind of haughty presumptuousness fits with her character and the way she treats the player after losing. She thought they were a nobody, because they're just some snot-nosed little kid going from place to place for fun, instead of a super serious dragon master, which is probably her idea of strong.
All the other answers don't really make sense for Clair to get wrong. There's no way she'd ever call a Pokemon her underling for example, because she was probably raised with a reverence for nature and the creatures within it, or at the very least, a reverence for DRAGONS specifically.
