Just desperate fans. A lot of people decided before BDSP were announced that they would praise anything that didn't look like SwSh, then had to cope once we saw the games and LA clearly looked more like SwSh than BDSP.

People still bought and enjoyed BD/SP, the game was extremely low-effort (exactly like PLA) but this seems enough to please most Pokemon fans.

this is concept art for the game not a scrapped concept. They make images like that for all the areas in all the games. its just supposed to give the developers an idea of the feeling of the location
