>>50524324The pokemon themselves for sure, everyone has their personal favourites that they like for their own reasons, and not only do you get to put together a team of whatever pokemon you want (mostly) but you get to customize each individual one to a pretty crazy degree, and you even get to name them yourself. No other series, to my knowledge, creates quite as much of a personalized experience. This is why I tend to think less of the more story centric pokemon games, it's not that they're bad but it runs counter to what I feel is the series' biggest strength. The more free the player is to express themselves and customize the experience to their liking, the better. That said, even the most linear and controlled pokemon games, SM, still have a huge amount of personalization options simply due to the team building aspect, so the series remains as addicting as ever
