Why is HGSS so perfect? I try and replay other games from other gens and usually can't even stick with it past the 2nd or 3rd gym. HGSS is different, it feels like an old friend. I'm happy when I play it.

These games bring the meat and potatoes while other Pokemon games feel like Banquet TV dinners. I imported HG from Japan when it came out because I couldn't wait for US release (I've never done that for any game before or since).
