There is a face included in its design, so it has a face. Yeah, Parasect technically is the mushroom on the back of the crab, but the crab has a face - so logically, Parasect has a face.

Eternatus is basically the anti pokemon, designed to not be a Pokemon as much as possible.
Barbaracle does not break design conventions at all, it fits right in with the gen 1 freaks like Eggs, Magnets or Slowbro. (Other than that it's ugly.)
